All clients must complete a PAR-Q before commencing any exercise programme. A PAR-Q is a Physical Readiness Questionnaire which will be carried out during your free consultation, it will help to identify any health restrictions which may impact how you are trained.
As such a letter of ‘medical clearance’ from your GP may be required upon completion of the PAR-Q. Please be aware that your GP may charge you a fee for this.
All client information will be kept strictly private and confidential.

Of course, you can train alone if you wish to. However, our main purpose is to motivate you and develop a customised training programme with you that corresponds to your specific requirements, problems and goals.
We can recognise when your posture is not quite right or when you are putting too much pressure on the wrong muscles, which can cause an imbalance and potential injury. Also, we can recommend the right exercises for your needs, at the right intensity to reach your goals effectively and safely.
-
The purpose of a personal trainer is to provide a specific programme based on underpinning expert knowledge. Each client has an initial consultation discussing barriers, objectives and goals in preparation to beginning training.
The barriers to achieving your goals are just as important, so we can identify these and look at ways at overcoming them.
It is Keith’s job to both advise and motivate you to maintain your full commitment to the programme and to continually adapt and progress your programme to keep you interested and focused on achieving your goals.
-
Keith’s role is to motivate you and develop a customised training programme that helps you meet your goals – and not to bark orders. Keith will be encouraging you all the way, whilst advising you on the correct exercise postures to ensure you’re putting pressure on the right muscles.
Some people respond to encouragement, whilst some like to pushed hard; it’s all about having an honest partnership where we have an open feedback loop so you’re happy with our sessions and how we motivate you – with the ultimate aim to help you achieve your goals.
-

That is entirely up to you and depends on the amount of time you have and how committed you are. Usually, clients train at least twice a week.
-
The onset of training is approximately 4 weeks. This means that after 5 weeks training the effects of the first week will start to show.
However, this is an approximation – everyone is different and times can vary. Some people notice results sooner and sometimes slightly later.
